Hi Deja!

I agree, at 2 AM that is not so cute...

Is he still teething? I remember my LG did the same at that age when a tooth was coming out. I really cursed the teething because I was convinced that was the cause for her night wakings. Often she wasn't crying but happily playing like you said and then one thinks that surely she is not in pain? The moment all her teeth was out (age 2,5) she started to sleep through. Don't know if that could be the reason...?

argh, so annoying, just typed up a whole response and once again my session timed out so I lost it all. Hate when that happens.

Anyway, what I said was shame, so not nice when they're awake that long in the middle of the night.
I'm not really sure what to suggest. Maybe he is looking for some more attention from you. Maybe if you spend 15 min dedicated one-on-one time with him in the evenings before bed it might help?

We're still having sleep issues ourselves in that he wakes fairly frequently. Not overly so but definitely not sttn. I actually thought a few weeks ago he was going through a major separation anxiety phase becuase every time I walked out his bedroom he woke up and started crying. We've subsequently moved his bed into our room, squahsed up against my side of hte bed. Now he wakes, repositions himself either on his own bed, on top of me, or next to me/between me and hubby and goes straight back to sleep. So sleep is still disturbed in as much as he's waking, but we're all getting much more rest because A) I don't have to actually get out of bed at all, and B.) he's able to resettle much more quickly.

I'm not really sure what to suggest if Sion is actually staying awake and playing with you the whole time, other than to spend a bit of one-on-one quality time with him just before bed as maybe it's his way of asking for a bit more attention.

Sterkte!

Hi girls

My son, who is now a year and a half, still is not sleeping well. What happens now is, he goes to sleep but then he wakes up once. That one time he STAYS awake for two hours. He keeps on cluthing my hands and playing with me for the whole two hours. It's adorable but NOT AT 2AM in the morning.

Any advice on how I can get him to SKIP this waking?
