Hi Ladies, thx so much for all your advice, luckily it went away within a day or two with the help of Bepanthen and Reuteri drops. We're already on no bubble bath, 2-ply toilet paper and 100% cotton panties - she's had a sensitive skin since birth. We use Annique Baby products which doesn't irritate her skin.

Gloeiwurmpie, my LG scratched a lot when she was still on a night nappy - that was actually the reason I took her off the nappy and the problem was immediately sorted.

Anthea, never heard of Probiotic spray, but will try it next time.

I hope so too GW! As women this is definitely one of the worse things to have to experience, so can only imagine what it must be like for them. Unfortunately we cant dictate to the school what toilet paper to use - and that is where the go to the toilet most of the day...

I have found that leaving the Probiotic Spray to completely dry first does help...

MummyAbby, I totally agree on the toiletpaper, some brands feel like newspaper!

I pour coarse salt in her bathwater (like the urologist recommended) and add tea trea oil as well.

She is also on a low sugar diet since candida worsens with high sugar diets.

I have googled this extensively and I have resorted to the fact that hopefully it will improve with age...Sigh....

We also had a problem with redness, a simple change in toilet paper did the trick. We bought the whitest (no spots!), 2 ply toilet paper. No problem since.

huggles, you are making a very valid point. But yes, they are 100% cotton.

Gloei, just a random quick question but are her panties 100% cotton? I remember struggling a bit as a young girl and at the time I was wearing those horrible nylon school panties. My mom switched me to cotton panties and no more problems since.

I was very excited about the chrechegaurd probiotic spray and have used it for a while now with absolutely no success... :(

Perhaps if you could spray it on and then leave them naked for a while so that the spray can dry since I find any wetness underneath a nappy or panty makes the problem worse.

If the crechegaurd was a dry powder....Now that is a grand idea!

THis is really a serious problem for us, or at least a very anoying one. It just seems as if she is very sensitive down there, even riding a bike or playing on those tire swings that you sit on worsens the problem.

The doctor mentioned that even some young girls could have a hormonal balance which could cause this sensitivity.

I just hate making such a fuss about her private parts being clean and always applying some cream. I am concerned that she starts to believe that there is something seriously wrong with her private parts.

I even wash her bum in the mornings when she had a wet nappy.

I am hoping that she will grow out of this as she learns how to wipe better and outgrow the night nappy?

Thanks for everyone's comments, it helps to read what other moms are trying to fix the problem.
