Hmmm

Is it not eczema? Eczema and allergies are strongly connected so yes - would definitely recommend cutting out the stuff the ladies recommend below.

In the meantime get Oilatum cream from Dischem - it works wonders for very dry skin and eczema. It also creates a protective barrier that prevents further moisture loss and drying out of the skin.

It works better than the Eucerin Aquaphor, Epimax and the Pure Range... These ones work well in summer but in summer i find they need a richer cream.

All the best hey!

Daktarin is magic gel! I've only used it for thrush inside the mouth, but it works super duper fast and is just amazing!

Hi Kades mom,

It might be a form of thrush (which is a fungal infection) so I'd second removing any sugars or yeast related foods from her diet (don't let her take sugars and yeast together as the sugar is yeast food). Other than that, have you tried Daktarin oral gel?

My LG got thrush but not as bad as yours and this cleared it up quickly.

I hope she's much better very soon!!

My son also had a mild rash around his mouth for a few months. It came and went without us figuring out what it was. I thought it was a mild allergy to something but everytime I thought I figured out what the trigger was, something else triggered it.
Luckily it disapeared again after a while.

Good luck

Hi Huggles,

I wouldn't say that she drools much actually. It just looks terrible, we have to try find that balance inbetween of too dry and too moist, if i can say it that way. I'll def try that for a few days thank you. Its her birthday on Friday and her face looks terrbile :(

Does she drool a lot? Could that maybe be making it worse?

If you're up for it, maybe try removing all wheat and gluten from her diet for a month and see if it disappears completely. My son used to have a similar (though much milder) looking rash (although it was only there for a short time). For different health reasons we removed all wheat and gluten from his diet for a period of time. Within a few days the rash cleared completely.

Hi Moms,

Please I wonder if anyone can help me.

My daughter has this rash on her mouth for some time now, we have taken her to the GP and he said its a fungal infection. We have tried several creams and nothing seems to be working, there are times it looks like it about to dissapear then all of a sudden flare up again. I'll upload a pic and if anyone recognizes it?

TIA
