Crèche \ Day care Issues \concerns

We don't have that issue but then, my LG is 12 months and have been attending creche since 4 months. I'm just wondering, in the Wonder Weeks book it refers to stages that our kids will be more clingy and will have more separation anxiety. Is it not perhaps linked to this?

I think you are doing a great thing for your little girl as you are helping her socialise as well. If she's fine after you've dropped her off and it stays like that then it is perhaps just her way of getting used to not having Mommy around and settling in.

We (my wife and i) recently sent our 14 month old girl to crèche. We started last Tuesday(13th Jan), and was fine when we dropped her off. However the next day she started crying. Because she has been with mom for the past year, she was obviously not use to being left, and she is attached to my wife as primary care giver.
My wife has now started working, so we thought crèche is best as we have no family close and she would have more fun at a crèche than at home. This was our thought as there are no TV’s for her to watch and the school would provide stimulation for her.

The issue is (and I just want to know if anyone else has had this issue) that the LO has to litrally now be pulled off mom when she gets dropped off. She is so upset when mom picks her up, she cries all the time and mom cannot put her down.
Are we harming our baby (toddler)?
We can view her during the day and after a few mins, she is fine playing with the teachers \ children.
