How much formula for nine month old

I've read that nine month old babies should only drink about 500 - 600ml formula in 24 hours. My lb is still drinking between 720 and 840ml a day?

He also eats solid foods. Do you think I am over feeding him or should I just relax and let him lead? At his last weigh in at the clinic the sister said he is healthy and not overweight.
