Hi Ladies! Hope that you are all well! I never imagined the amount of emails I will receive for art and craft ideas. I am busy compiling a ebook with loads of ideas and pictures with step by step instructions on not only crafts and art, but paint recipies, etc. as well. Will let you know when it is finished. I am planning to sell it for R10.00, will keep you posted!

Hi Trudie and other ladies!
I have a 26 month old boy and he loves to learn new things and I love to teach him. I use to spend quite a bit of time on activities with him but since having my daughter 3 weeks ago things are chaotic. I hope we all get into a routine and settled quickly because at the moment my son's activities are taking the back seat (he hates doing things alone wants mommy to join in) so yeah, survival right now is the key and I'll try getting back into the grove of things soon. When we do, I'll be sure to revisit this thread again! Cool links, one or two of those were also on my fave's list :-)

Hi Loni, I totally agree with you, with homeschooling you teach and move with the rythm of your child's learning capabilities. Marijke - you will be a wonderful teacher! You have the greatest gift that you can give your LO, all the mother love your child needs. You don't need to be a rocket scientist to teach your child. God has given you everything you need to teach your baby. I learn WITH Mikaela - each and every day is an adventure for both of us!

At the moment my baby goes to the creche but I pick her up at 14:00.. I do feel, that at home she gets so much more attention and I spend the whole afternoon on her development. Although they have a nice programme at the creche, there are so many babies crying and needing attention I hardly think they can get much needed development time to the babies.

You can also monitor your child's development and move on accordingly, in the creche / school they will often stop at one point and have this attitude of - we cant do further development or else your child will be bored the next year..
