file Safety rules for toddlers and ....husbands...?

Knives lying around within reach - big no, no
Garage door - also no
Bathroom door - not so serious

But I do need to add that it is also very important to teach LO's "no touch" or "papa / mama's toy" so with the knives or any other "illegal" item she knows that it can hurt her or break.
Also by teaching those words, it is so much easier to deal with breakables in other people's homes.

Men! I suggest maybe getting some safety gates on the doors - they are easy to remember to close as yu can't miss them!?

what I do is gently remind him every time he leaves the toilet to close the door or to make sure baby is safe.

men are absent minded so I just choose to remind him otherwise we would have full blown fights everyday.

married for 3 years with 7 yr old daughter and 2yr old son.

My husband is really amazing with helping me with our LO. He helps with everything, getting up at night, giving bottles and the rest. Truely amazing.
But with regards to safety around the house, he is absolutely terrible. He is extremely absent minded. Our little girl is about to start walking, and she can reach to the top of our tables/working surfaces in the house. Now, my husband does knifemaking as a hobby, but he leaves all his "works in progress" lying around in the house on the dining room table and basicly every table in the house (bedside tables...). Now, he has agreed to put all his projects in the nice box I bought him, but he forgets to put it in there.
Now, I work from home on my laptop, and I watch my LO from where I work, but I am not standing right behind her every second of the day. I check every now and again, if all cupboards are closed etc. but I can't do this every minute. (My husband is home from time to time between projects).
We have agreed on that the bathroom door always stays shut, because of fear of drowning in the toilet. We have also agreed to that the door between the kitchen and garage stays closed, because of the risk of someone driving over her if the door is left open and all our paints, cleaning products and other harmfull things stay in the garage.
He forgets about 4 out of 10 times to close these doors.
Please tell me honestly (I won't be offended), should I just chill out a bit more on the safety, or is it reasonable for me to go into a panick about these things and become quite upset? thanks ladies.
