My son opens the fridge door

Seriously besides from the word daddy, my son's first word was "DIRTY". Not kidding, he used to walk around pointing to bins anywhere (shops, other peoples houses etc) saying dirty, dirty, dirty. It was very sweet but so funny.

And as for the bin, well Liam gets the sink and bin confused - i send him to the kitchen to put his plate in the sink - it lands up in the bin. I send him to throw something away - it lands up in the sink, and then the little monkey argues with me when I try to correct him

Tess- I knew as soon as something was missing it was bound to be in the bin. Once he threw our TV remote away.
Claire A- At one stage I thought my son was going to think his name was NO NO. LOL.

Consistancy, consistancy, consistancy ! You need to just use every ounce of patience you have and say No, no, no and once again no EVERY time you see him heading off to the fridge.

I have opted for putting my bin outside the back door. I was so tired so telling LG not to touch it (I'm a bit of a germ-freak). I closed kitched cupboards with velcro strips from material shop.

hayley - my LB loves to throw things in the bin - even if they aren't meant for the bin yet. And we have one of those touch bins, so it is so easy for him. Can't tell you how many times I had to dig something out of there ….. yuck!

The fridge locks work but mine found out how to open it after a few months. They grow out of doing those kind of things though so hopefully by the time he figures out how to open it then the fridge won't be the most interesting thing on earth anymore.
