Our eldest daughter suffered with a post nasal drip while in sa from allergies. She would also cough at night and then vomit , this is normal because its the only way they can get rid of the phlegm. Go to you paed and he'll proberly give you an antihistamine. Also try to raise his head when sleeps and use humidifyer. Good luck

I have 2 little girls and we living in Hong Kong.

It could be a post nasal drip thats irritating the back of the throat when your LB is lying on his back (you dont neccesarily have to have a blocked or runny nose to have this) in which case you could try lying him on his side. Alternatively his chect could be tightening at night when its cooler and there are more dust particles in the air in which case a humidier would help. Either way go see your doc, to do checks. if it is allergies he can prescribe a pump that will aleaviate the symptoms. This might not be a permanent thing, just a seasonal solution to the dry and dusty winter air:)

For about a month we have been struggling with my 23 month old who also has a "cough vomit" and mainly at night. The thing is that "cough vomit" is not so concerning, its apparently just the force of the wanting to get the phlegm out.

Having said that, we are now monitoring our daughter as we and the ENT specialise suspect she might have some ENT problems, could also be constant nasal drip, could be allergies etc. These things all come to the fore as from age 2 years.

Its really terrible and I have been changing bedding like its going out of fashion because little miss cough vomits almost every 3rd night and messes all over the bedding etc.

I dont know if any of this helps, if you have specific question, feel free to ask and I will try to answer you best I can. :)

Hi, sorry didn't have the same problem recently, was just wondering if it's nog maybe an allergy related cough! Why don't you try Allergic syrup or something! Maybe it's sinus drip that makes him cough and I know that can make ma vomit as well! Especially because you say its more at night! Just a suggestion!
