Oh no! Your poor little girl! I would have freaked out completely and you were right to demand to see a doctor right away.

EmsMom - wow what a day. I would seriously have been crawling up the walls and throwing accusations at anyone with a penis.

Sorry your day was not great, you really have lived every parents worst nightmare!!!

She doesnt wear a nappy, so its possible she sat on something, there are loads of rocks and stuff to climb and sit on at my folks.
Thankfully the doctor was great, and very good with her. He obviously found it difficult to ask us if anyone had perhaps been alone with her yesterday, but dealt with it well.

She is happier now, the cream we've got helps the pain, but she is still bleeding. We've changed her panties 3 or 4 times today. She's also scared to go to the loo, as it obviously hurts.

DH just wants to kill someone, even the thought that someone might have touched his little girl made him see red. Even though logically we know it didn't happen.

Oh no Emsmom that's just terrible. I remember when the same happened to Kayla. I went beserk and went from doctor to doctor and got referred to some horrible place close to Garden City that supposely deal with these things, but they couldn't find nothing. She wasn't maybe without a nappy at some stage where she could sit on something by accident?

Is she fine otherwise?

Well yesterday her party was FAB! Everyone had a great time, we had a jumping castle, magician, facepainting and balloon moulding. I will post pics once I get them from the photographer.

However today her actual birthday was a completely different story. We had a wonderful day planned - take her to the movies, then the aquarium, then to feed the birds at the gardens, and back home for tea and cake with family... that changed quickly..

At about 6am she got up to wee, and I saw a little bit of blood on her fanny, dried, so I thought maybe she has scratched herself. I cleaned her put bum cream there and she went bck to sleep.

She was fine till just before her bath she made a wee and started SCREAMING like nothing I've heard, I wiped and bright red blood was on the paper. I took her to her room and held a wet wipe on her while she lay down and red blood was pouring out - and internal injery. Naturally we paniced and rushed her straight to the ER, where I might have been a little rude in demanding we see someone right away (we've been known to sit in the waiting room for an hour before we even get to see a sister at the ER) the took us through, a sister looked at her and said she needed to see the doctor. We waited about 30min, and he came to examine her (masive amounts of tears I must say) - my folk were there and they took her out once he was done so we could talk. What he said is obviously what no parent ever wants to hear - that it looks like something was inserted down there. He asked if she had been playing with other children yesterday -and yes while there were about 20 kids there, not once were any of them without adults around, and never off alone. So it might have been her experimenting, or scratching herself. Still a very scary morning for all of us, and now we need to see if it heals in a couple days. if not we need to take her back to be put under for a full internal.

Needless to say the rest of the day was pretty much ruined.
