Hmmmm thx girls. I never thought of her tonsils. She never had tonsillitis or anything. Can it still be tonsils?

Angie my other daughter got problems with her sinuses. I honestly just don't know what to do anymore. She's not sick but her nose is constantly blocked. I tested her hearing, I took her to a ENT - twice - had x-rays done - where you can clearly see the blockages but the ENT kept prescribing meds which didn't work and I also didn't like him. I had to pay nearly R500 per visit and then found another ENT, but will cost me over R600. Didn't take her back yet, but she was complaining again this morning. Maybe I should try that stuff you gave your son?

I agree with Angie. Connor had the same trouble when he was 2 years old. SOnoring like crazy. ENT said the tonsils had to come out, he said it was so enlarge he did not know how Connor managed to breath. SO the op was done and the snoring stopped.

Just to add - excessive snoring could lead to sleep apnee, so if she is snoring every night and so loud, I would rather get it checked out!

Hi Joli, Cj is 20 months, and about two months ago he started snoring, after he had bronchitis and tonsilitis. I just asked the ENT whom I work with what he tought it was, he said it might be enlarged tonsils or adenoids (it's called kissing tonsils), but he said before he checks CJ out he wants to give him a nose spray just to see if it is not his nose that gets blocked during the night. He prescribed illiaden and nasonex, I had to give the illiaden 2 hours before bedtime, and the the nosonex 1 hour after that. After a week I only gave the nasonex, he suggested we keep on with it for three weeks, CJ did not snore while we did it, and it has been almost three weeks since we stopped and he is not snoring.

The ENT did say if he kept on snoring while on the nose spray - it is most probably enlarged tonsils or adenoids.

Maybe take her to pead or ENT and get a naspharynx X -ray with that they could tell if it is enlarged or not!

Megan is snoring - she is 2 1/2 and she snores like an adult. Should I be worried about it? Or just leave it? Where does one have this check out? Shame, she actually sounds cute.
