Pretty much the same for me too Woo-Woo! My daughter will be 1 years old tomorrow and i sometimes feel like i don't give her enough of my time when i get home because there is so much to be done, BUT before i start with anything (and this does help), i make sure i get into something comfortable, plonk myself on the mat in the tv room with my daughter and my 4 year old and just play...After 30 minutes i get started with the cooking and just take things in my stride. Weekends are family time and i try my best to just take time out and be with them.

We all feel that way when things just get too busy around us, but know that you are not alone. IF there is things that can wait, then let it wait. Our kids grow up so quickly and we can't take that back! Don't be so hard on yourself..

Never mind the work!

How about going out to do something with Hubby but without the kids. That REALLY kills me.

Like tonight, Hubby wants me to attend one of his work meetings with him, and I want to be by my Husbands side, but now I have to leave my LG with my mom and don't even get to spend the ONE HOUR with her that we usually have after arriving home.

It really sucks trying to please everyone. And the guilt kills me: being out and thinking about my LG and wanting to be with her and knowing I can't.

It is hard being a Mom, Wife and working girl.

Nothing really ever prepares you for this.

But like everyone said, when I am with my LG, I try to spend as much quality time with her a possible

Wonder if it does get easier later on in life?????

Manda :)

You are not alone, I feel guilty when I leave in the morning but know I need to work to be able to provide for my baby! Like Woo Woo I also bath her when I return from work and the nanny is 'off' duty as soon as I walk through the day when it comes to my baby!

You doing a great job mommy

well said vision, i agree!!!

i think its normal, i often feel that way. but a woman's gotta do what a woman's gotta do, i have 2 kids which makes it a little more difficult.

you work because you love you child and want whats best for him/her

my life is still hectic when i get home, i have to cook and and and...

so what i do now is I've told me nanny not to bath him, he baths with me in the evenings which helps me spend time with him and also helps him sleep better.

my 5 year old i tuck into bed and read her a story and say bedtime prayers.

this does help me.... ;)

Hi Manda :)

You are definitely not alone :)

I wish I had a solution on how to get rid of the guilt but I think each mom deals with it in her own way.

I also feel guilty because I have to work and cant spend more time with my angel but I have decided to just make sure that the time that I spend with her is quality time and that she knows how much I love her!

Just keep reminding yourself what a great mom you are and that you are perfect for your angel!

Hi, I just logged on to this forum and I have something on the heart to share with all you moms. I am a working mom and off course my babay 11 months old stays with his Gran who also stays with us during the day. Obviously you can imagine he is quiet attached to his Gran. Due to the fact that I am working I feel that I do not give my child the attention he deserves from me, although, I try very hard when I am with him by playing learnfull things with him, you know, stuff mommies do with their children. How can one overcome this guilt feeling. I know deep down my child loves me to bits and I him more than he will ever know. I am tired of feeling guilty. Don't actually know how to explain my self further. Any one out there having the same feelings?
