BPF with one brand of hpt but not others?!!

Solo - I got my BFP on a "maybe baby" (at night) and it was dark and definate, the next morning I tested on a dischem brand and got a very feint line compared to the previous night. So I think the sensitivity of the hpt vary big time!

So CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!

Oh and by the way I think it is definate as you seem to already have porridge brain as you called this thread BPF instead of BFP. hee hee!

Perhaps the blood test was qualitative - they take 25hcg as the cut off, maybe yours was below that, some hpt are sensitive and will measure a positive below 20. I agree with Julz- go for repeat bloods. Congrats again

I don't want to bring bad news to this very exciting time for you but you can get a false positive if you test early and the pregnancy does not continue. You would get a positive followed by a negative a day later and they would remain negative.

Having said that the test you did early on may have just been done with a very sensitive test and the others may not be as sensitive. I hope this is the case.

Sorry I just saw your other post. Congrats on the bfp. I suggest you get them to run the bloods again! My friend had a false negative blood test!
