Ilse,
excellent advice- wish i had heard a week ago!
actually my addiction to HPT's has gotten a bit ridiculous.
amazing how obsessed one can be. i will join you on the TTC thread and next month i will endeavour to be a bit more rational!

ohhhh Justine that must have been crushing! And must still be crushing - the high hopes and the constant wishing .... I really feel for you right now.

I don't think there is a "right thing" to say right now, I really wish wish you were having a different kind of day.

I'm sorry Justine, I know it is frustrating.

If you are only one day late today, I can promise you that you have really wasted your money and time on all those other HPTs! Not to speak of the pain you caused yourself.

Mostly HPTs become more reliable by 14DPO, however it is not uncommon to only get a positive only a few days after AF was late, even so much as a week or more late.

If you still feel you are pregnant and AF stays away, go for bloods. And please don't be so worried about your cycle, it varies sometimes and it doesn't mean there is something wrong.

I hope you get your BFP now, but if not, come join us on the TTC thread and in future never test early again, not until AF is really late. :-)

Thanks Julzdylan,

its been a few months of trying... i thought a 2 year gap between children would be ideal so aimed for that... funny how we think we can plan things like this.
im mostly upset because i really really really felt pregnant. in my mind i had all the symptoms. now that Im late but still with a neg HPT my mind is whirling with all the other nasty possibilities (early menopause etc etc...) . cant help it, im a incessant worrier.
anyway, thanks for replying... i dont often post of forums but thought the very act of typing it out may be therapeutic. and it has been.

Cheers,
Justine

Hi Justine

Hugs to you.

You didn't say how long you have been trying for.

It isn't easy especially when one falls pregnant so quickly the first time round. The fact is that one pregancy is no indication of how things will go the next time round and it is perfectly normal to take a year to conceive.

I wish you all the very best of luck.

Im so disappointed.
Im sure there will be many would can relate...
I used my 7th (!!!) HPT this month and still negative. :(

It took 3 months of trying to conceive my little boy... so I just thought second time round would be easy. I was so sure that I was preggies this month. I have a ~31 day cycle so have basically been testing everyday for the past week. Now i am one day over when AF was supposed to arrive and still negative.

i even bought one of those expensive clear blue tests and the "not pregnant" words were even harsher than the lack of a second line.
plus, im now worried that there may be something wrong with me.

:(
