OPK's

My personal experience :-

I would stop drinking anything from 14:00pm starting on CD9/10, then I would do my pee-pee at around 18:00pm (also wouldn't wee from 14:00pm).
I would get a +OPK every month without fail! So afternoons personally worked best for me.

an update...
i did another one at the same time today and the test line is lighter again. i was originally planning on doing them every second day. glad i didnt. if i had i would have totally missed the lh surge.
today i have the familar ov pains and other tell time signs.
now to catch the eggy!...

i used to do them at random times- but read today that its best done from midday to midafternoon. so this is the first day ive done it at 1. felt a bit odd sneaking in to the work loo with my little plastic sample cup!

also read that its best to stick to the same time each day. one website recommended doing 2 per day. but given that i dont really know where i am in my cycle it could be 2 per day for 10 days or more!

i also read that its best not to drink anything for a couple of hours before you test, so that you dont dilute any possible response.

oh well... lets hope it works

what a good time for this topic to come up. ive had all the same questions for the last week now.
Im 27 days post a D&C and have no idea where i am in my cycle.
being the obsessive-compulsive i am i decided to try and find out.
did a couple of HPT to see when the HCG had left my system (it was really sad to hope for just 1 line, rather than 2).

finally got 1 line on ~12-14 days post D&C. for just over a week now i have been doing OPK's- faint lines on all days... until 1 hour ago!

the one i have just done has a test line that is definitely a lot darker than it ever has been. and im really really excited!

i think anything is worth a try at least once... so go for it. maybe it'll work for both of us!
