Hi there -
Firstly want to thank those mommies who encouraged me to go to hospital ect. I need to share this for maybe one day someone will read this and will benefit from this post in terms of their reproductive health.
My son was due between 28 Feb 2010 and 3 March 2010. He was born via emergency c-sec on the 6th of Jan 2010. The recovery after this for my body was great and within 2 months I could do everything I did before with no hassles. In June 2010 I statred having severe pains lower abdominal like bad period cramps but all through the month. I went to my gynae and he said I should go on the Depo shot, .... In September 2010 I plucked up the courage and went for my first shot, and since the 21st of September untill the 15th of February 2011 I was bleeding everyday and sometimes light, sometimes heavy... and the pain was terrible. In November 2010 I went to casualties due to the pain and bleeding, a gastaroscopy, colonoscopy and ct scan later, was diagnosed with a spastic colon and 3 bleeding stomach ulcers - was given medication and off I went. But it did not stop, I started to think this was all in the mind, and that is why I statred posting this problem on Moomie to see if anyone had been through this so that I can put my mind at ease... on the 10th of Feb 2011 I was in for the emergecy dd+c and hysteroscopy and laparascopy.. and what they found was so shocking...
They found multiple polyps in my uterus that were bleeding so badly, because the depo shot apparantly makes your uterus lining thin, and therefore it made the surface of the polys thin and the blood vessels were on the surface... so they cut that out and did a good d&c. But the next is the part that schocek me... my fat tissues, that they cut through and pulled apart to get my son out, had grown all together and all in the wrong places, basically everything inside me was connected and under pressure because everything was stuck together, they cut and burnt all loose. Now I am on the Yaz tab to try and regulate my cycles again....
Still have pain, but thankful that the dr found it and sorted it out...
