AF and ovulation

Chances are if you have no af then you might not be ovulating, but it is impossible to tell until afterwards and you are either pregnant or not.

I suggest you use suitable contraception. You may certianly have pcos again and it could be the breastfeeding that is preventing af and ovulation.

Quick question, do I have to have an AF to ovulate?

I was diagnoses with PCOS in 2008 and as a result never used to get a period. Conceivd my 10m old on clomid. My gynae warned that a pregnancy might reset my system and I was very excited that I got my period 5 weeks ago. Nothing since however. I'll do a test next week just in case (we've been using condoms) but i'm pretty sure it's either the PCOS back or the fact that i'm still breastfeeding (although cleat not 4hrly so i'm aware that's not a contraceptive!)

What I want to know basically though is assuming my test next week is negative can I assume that i'm not pregnant unless get anothe period (and then not one 4 weeks later) or is it possible to ovulate in like 3 weeks time even if I don't have a period between now and then? Hubby and I are not trying so will still use condoms I just don't want to have to spend a fortune on pregnancy tests every few weeks as I have mild panic attacks and break out into a sweat at the thought of two kids under 20 months...
