A sad goodbye to TTC...

I'm sorry Lori. Being a fellow Arien I would also need to close the chapter in order to get on with my life. Such a tough decision.

Elamsmom how generous of you to donate your eggs and sorry it did not work out for your friend. I must admit I also kind of expected it to be relatively easy to conceive. The first time I conceived straight after going off the pill. Sadly I had an MC and then it took a year to fall pregnant, but also without any kind of intervention. So I really thought okay, I am a bit older, but I am healthy, I ovulate every month, so a little bit of intervention and Bob's your uncle....

The lesson is: one should not take anything for granted. The experience has humbled me though and has certainly given me some insight into the pain that women who cannot conceive at all endures

@LoriF: I've never been good at that kind of thing either, but all my own coping mechanism (including wallowing ) Have failed me so I am trying a new strategy.

I am Pisces but am SO not the typical airy-fairy, head in the clouds, touchy-feely kinda pisces. I am more of the practical and realistic kind...but hey, when all else fails, why not try a new technique and see?

Recently donated eggs to someone who wanted so badly to have a 2nd baby. The eggs were fine & fertilised perfectly with the sperm etc etc. They were inserted into her womb/(uterus?) but it didn't take. after a few days she started having cramps and her body basically rejected the embryo's...I was very involved in the process (clearly) and it opened my eyes to the struggles many ladies go through...and often after having one child & so expecting it to be easy to conceive another

LofiF my friend. My heart goes out to you. I don't even know what to say. I have nothing clever to say or advice to give you and I also don't want to. What I do want to say is you are a strong soul and will survive this season in your life and look back and know why it has happened this way and realise that there was a better purpose, whatever it may be. Elamsmom I have to admit I have never been very good at the whole " lets try and see the positive side of things". I am aries after all and we love to wallow in our misery. But I hear you and will give your positive affirmations a good try - at least.
