question-circle question on ovulation and cervical mucus??

15 years 7 months ago #166277 by Joybaby
Cervical mucus will be stretchy egg white the day of or day before ovulation. This is the consistency that helps transport the sperm. Sometimes it can be like this for a few days, but one things for certain, if TTC and you see this type of CM them BD BD BD !!!

Deja I also used to feel ovulation. Apparently its an egg pushing from further back to get through. So when you feel like that, O day is soon so bd lots!

First angel resting 25/06/2009 stayed with us a short 7 weeks but we still miss you.

Strikkie, that night I could feel a funny feeling in my left-hand side which felt like ovulation. Could it have been?

I am not really charting or anything. Just trying my luck. I normally have a 28-29 day cycle, am very regular. Fell pregnant with Nienke on day 15 of my cycle first time in 2009. REALLY hoping it would be like that again. However, we made a half-hearted attempt in January and it did not happen.

Hi
Welcome!! :)

No its not correct, but ewcm (egg white cm) is helping with the transporting of the spermies to the egg ( the most fertile cm)

Deja, if you get a + opk its normal 24-48 hr till Ovulation, but you can also get + opk with no ovulation, it only pick up the LH surge and it could also be that the test pick up the surge but you dont O'd. I'm not saying this is your case. :) I had 2 + opk this mth and my post O-temps is very low, so either i have a progesterone problem or anovulation. I will know by nxt week, going for prog test (7dpo) to see if i ovulated.

Holding fxfx for you!!

Firstly, welcome to Moomie!

I also want to know the answer to this question. The way I understand it, is that when CM is stretchy and can stretch between your forefinger and thumb, a few cm's, then you are likely to be ovulating between 24-48 hours after that. But it doesn't make sense to me, because it keeps on getting less. So then actually, when you ARE ovulating, the CM iis very little and not stretchy anymore?

I did the CM test last Monday and it was present. I took ovu test (clear blue) and it was negative. That was the Wednesday. I took another test the on Thursday morning and it was positive. So on the box it says, once the test is positive, i will ovulate between 24-48 hours after that.

So I am also confused. We BD'ed on Friday morning EARLY (hmmm...during the night...), so don't know if it was too late.

No, that statement is not correct. Changes in cervical mucus might indicate ovulation for some people, but even then there is no guarantee that you are indeed ovulating.
