Every month a cyst forms that contains the egg. This is perfectly normal. Sometime especially when undergoing fertility treatment, the functional (regular ) cyst continues to form and grows a little larger which is also quite common. These cysts go by themselves so really nothing to worry about.

The fs has a very trained eye and would be able to know if it was a cyst that would cause more concern or not and I also had a similar one when I was on treatment that went away after 4 weeks. Infact I have them often which they see on scans and I am not even aware of them.

Sometimes they get a bit larger (6cm) or they cause pain and then the gyane may drain it.

I'm currently undergoing FT for 3months and had a scan yesterday. On report it said "T/r N uterus, ET=19mm, homogenous. Rt ovarian cyst. 41x35mm, cystic appearance & low level echoes? haemohagic cyst.
Lt ovary 38x22x20 - has PCO appearance - small amount of fluid in POD".

I asked the gyn if it's anything to worry about, but just said it should work itself out. I still feel worried .

Had what seemed to be preconception spotting (light pink and not enough to use pad) 2weeks ago for two days and my period is only due on 04/04/2011. Gyn just said it must have been a cyst that erupted, but I had only slight pain for 5minutes.

Is there anyone that understands all these terms,or has gone through similar experience? please HELP!
