Thanks Paisley and Julzdylan!

Sounds like Utrogestan is a 50/50 treatment. Will see what my Dr. says with my next check-up later this month and will give you some feedback.

I had been on fertility treatment for a few months and had issues with bleeding and it seemed I had had an early mc so my fs put me on cyclogest and I fell pregnant and maintained a healthy pregnancy.

Hi julzdylan,

Thank you for all the info :)

I've read a lot on progesterone (Utrogestan) and Inofolic and is aware of what it's for, just wanted to know how it worked for others, as I've never really been on any fertility treatment and conceived my 1st in an eye blink.

Yes it was prescribed by my gynae for the latter half of my cycle due to re-occurring cysts and ttc since December 2010.

I'm hoping that this treatment will have a positive impact

Hi!

As julz suggested, utrogestan is a progesterone supplement, and ought to be used in the latter half of your cycle.

After my first insemination i was put on uterogestan to help thicken my endometrium and better the chances of a fertilised eggy to implant. Unfortunately i did not fall pregnant on our fist try, as the uterogestan was not strong enough to sustain my endometrium - but on my second cycle i was put on a stronger progesterone supplement cyclogest - and voila; I have the most precious blonde boy as proof.

I really think that the progesterone supplement helped in our quest in falling pregnant!

Hi there

Can you give more info like do you use it in the latter half of your cycle? Why did the gynae give you this medication?

Utrogestan is progesterone. This is usually used during the latter half of your cycle to support the endometrium for pregnancy after implantation.

Infolic is folic acid. It is believed to regulate pcos patients and is generally a good suppliment to take if trying to conceive or pregnant.

I was given progesterone vaginal sup to be used twice a day after ovulation to support my pregnacy and it worked really well.

Ideally this should be asked of your gynae as we are all different and have different needs for these medications.

Wishing you all the very best.

Morning Everyone,

My gynae put me on the following Utrogestan 100mg x2 daily and Inofolic.

What has your experience been while using it and how long does it take to produce positive results?
