refuse to sleep on their own

yes my girl clench onto me when i lay her in the cot.I even put her fav.barney teddy in her arms but im failing.im so glad im not the only one here.Thank yu ladies.

@ Missesmom. We did that with my daughter but she was far more advanced in everything from almost the begining and could comprehend it all well. That would never work with my son, he would just open up the bottle of spray and drink it Lol.

Its good to know other mommies are going thru this too!

with Emy we made it into a big thing - We decorated her bed, got "fairy spray" (basically clicks pillow mist) and told her that she was a big girl now, and that the fairies will also help keep her safe at night, we let her spray the stuff all over the room, and choose what teddy she wanted to cuddle at night.

If she did spend the entire night in her room (we still got night when she would call for us) then I would buy her a gift (what I did was buy a bunch of clothing and told her each morning that she woke up in her bed she could choose something out the bag)

it took a while, but now she sleeps on her own and loves it.

Going through the same trouble with my son who is two. DH and I are trying to ttc and this does make it extremely difficult. Babyshoes our kids sound exactly the same, my boy gets hysterical if I try return him to his bed.

But I am starting to experience the same with my almost 14 month old son who now when he wakes up in the middle of the night only wants to come and lay on my chest and lo and behold if I put him back in the cot!

I sleep alone so its okey that he is with me...

my three year and half old son and daughter 14mnthold refuse to sleep on their own.My Lg started this about 2mnths ago.no imagine 4people on a double bed.im so tired and me and hubby cant even spend quality time.
Any advise how should i do it step,by step just to get them out of my bed.
