FSH urine tests

The FSH determines your ovarian reserve and an ovulation test will determine a surge of LH. So say you have an LH surge but not good quality eggs then pregnancy is unlikely. So the FSH will determine if you have a good quality and quantity of eggs for that cycle you test in.

From what I understand, the test basically will determine if in fact there will be an egg released in the cycle that could result in a pregnancy. Basically determining if you are going to be ovulating or not, but knowing this long in advance.
Maybe it's a good test to do if you suspect you have FSH imbalances. Or maybe its beneficial if you suspect pre-menopause symptoms that could be affecting your chances of falling preg.

Like when I did IUI last year, I got FSH injections to mature my follicles.

Just wondering if anyone has heard of it or tried it maybe. It works out to about R120+ per box which includes two tests.

Chanz, if im correct in saying it's the same as an OPK (Ovulation Predictor Kit) except with an OPK you dont start testing on CD3 of your cycle but rather alittle later in your cycle from about CD10....

Chanz, this sounds very interesting but ive also never heard about it in South Africa... Gee whiz!!!!!!! This would be awesome if it were in South Africa.

Ive only seen the OPK'S and Menopause urine tests at Clicks stores... Very interesting...

Hi Ladies

Curious to know if anyone has heard of urine FSH tests? I read about this last night on an american site. Apparently you do this test on day3 of your cycle and it will tell you whether an egg will be released that month. It says it's 95% accurate.

I have never heard of this in South Africa.
