Artificial insemination - to test or not to test

Shame, I can then understand your reluctance to go for bloodtests. I had a false positive a few months ago and the emotional rollercoaster is just too much. It really is horrible thinking you are pregnant and then turns out you are not.

Thanks for your comments yesterday ladies. I did a HPT this morning and it was negative so I decided not to go for the bloodtest - I'm a such a wuss! LOL! My nerves can't handle it.

Gloeiwurmpie I can't test before 12 dpo because of the Ovitrelle trigger which could give a false positive.

I guess this varies from person to person. I can't wait!! I start testing with home pregnancy tests from day 24!!!

I would go, then you know for sure.
Also, it's on the clinic's recommendation and there's no reason to feel stupid.

My fertility clinic advises me to go for a pregnancy blood test 12 days after artificial insemination - on CD 26.

I hate doing this because I feel so stupid when it is negative.

But I don't know what is worse, to just wait it out until I get my period two days later - or go for the blood test on day 26 - at least then I will know.... grrrr - what do you ladies do?
