Hi CG - I work as a doula/childbirth companion - often at Panorama Medi Clinic. Do you have any preferences (I know that some women prefer female gynaes). If not - there's a lovely new gynae - Dr Reinardo Lourens. If I was looking for a gynae I would go to him. What I like about him is that he is young, bringing with him fresh ideas - and willingness to break the traditional Panorama "mould". He works with a couple of other gynaes (Dr du Buissona and Dr Venter who are both pro-natural, and lovely drs - I have done births with them too). There are two TTC threads going at the moment - an english one and an afrikaans one. The english one is called something like "are you trying for a 2014 baby". Join us there for support.

Feel a bit lost with the Moomies lingo but here it goes. We're ttc since October last year, not putting much thought into it though as I'm so afraid to get caught up in the "what if we can't" drama. I was on Triphasil for about 6 years and stopped in 2011 before we were married. I don't have a gynae which led me to this forum keen to find some at panorama medi clinic. In April my AF arrived after an absence of 3 months, this sent alarm bells ringing and I've been researching gynae's since.

Love the forum and I'm sure there's going to be great advice for me during my journey and beyond.
