Hi there Mareebeech and brokenhearted

The feeling of being a failure is always the most gut-wrenching feeling a woman can have. Especially when it comes to struggling to conceive. Sometimes you feel so alone and no amount of 'it will happen' reassures you.

I know it sounds cheesy, corny, cliché (take your pick) but we all just have to believe that it is going to happen for all of us.

That's why I too am very glad I joined this forum to be able to talk to other women who actually know what I'm going through. It's hard 'in the real world' where people constantly ask, 'So, when are you guys having a baby?' etc.

People don't understand that it's not just a case of 'Wham bam, thank you ma'am. 9 months later, baby in the pram.' for everyone.

Maybe if you're 16, unmarried, have a scumbag boyfriend it's a different story.

Anyway, here's hoping and praying that in a short while, all of us will be suffering from morning sickness.

Hi Ladies,

My husband and I have been TTC for almost 2 years now. I've always had a "normal" menstrual cycle. I have been to the Gynie, and he says all is well. That "it" actually looks beautiful in there. We live a fairly healthy lifestyle, don't go over board with drinking. We have a veggies, we've taken the pregnacare vitamins for both of us, and still nothing.

It is so hard to listen to everyone's stories, or their "when is the baby coming?" or just relax it will happen.

My husband is the only child, his father is in his 70's, and it so much pressure to want to give him a grandchild.

My brother have little ones, friends are having babies, even people who shouldn't be having children are having children, why is it so hard for a couple who love each other, to have a baby.

I feel so alone in this matter, my husband try's to comfort and reassure me, but as a woman, I feel like a failure.

Hi brokenhearted

I know that feeling of wishing and hoping that it's finally your time.
Wishing you peace and happy thoughts.
A friend told me that we have to make our minds positive and never give up hope, regardless. I know that's so much easier said than done (believe me, I know) but I found that it helps to keep telling yourself that 'YOU WILL GET PREGNANT AND HAVE CHILDREN' (I sometimes look at myself in the mirror and say it out loud. DH simply smiles and nods)
Also, BELIEVE that it will happen.

Hi,

I was diagnosed with PCOS in 2011. We tried for a baby for roughly a year, before I went on Clomid. The first 2 cycles on Clomid was a bust, but the 3rd lead to a positive pregnancy test. Don't lose hope too early on, as long as the PCOS is being treated you're doing ok. Hang in there!
