50mg didn't work for me. No ovulation, a cyst that landed me in hospital, and horrendous side effects. I've now been on 100mg and will have a progesterone blood test on Saturday (day 26 of my cycle) to see if I ovulated. I did get a positive opk and the side effects were much better this time. I've been doing reflexology so maybe I was just in a better frame of mind and knew what to expect this round

As Meisiekind mentioned, Fertomid is a scarce commodity, so I also got the generic one called Clomihexal. Also took 100mg this cycle with same side effects - hot flushes and bloatedness. This cycle I have 3 follies (2 nice big ones) and no syst

It seems we have a lot in common. We're also trying for #2 at the moment, I have PCOS and live in Cape Town.

First 4 cycles was on 50mg, then moved up to 100mg (now on the 2nd cycle of 100mg). So far I haven't really had noticeable side effects, although some ladies mention hot flushes.

As for the short supply in the Western Cape, it seems to be a regular occurrence. I've had the same issue a few times, but fortunately I always come right somewhere. I bought one of the other Clomid generics, called Clomihexal, on Saturday at M-kem Pharmacy. They seem to have stock most of the time. Someone also mentioned that the pharmacy inside Panorama Medi-clinic have some stock.

Hi ladies,
I have been trying for baby#2 for a good few months now. I went to my gynae on Friday, he checked me out, he said that I am showing signs of PCOS on my left ovary but my right ovary looks healthy. He could see some follicles as well. He suggest that I try 4 cycles of Fertomid which I have to take on day 3-5 of my cycle which is now a 37 day cycle.
Is there anything I should know about fertomid? like side effects?
I also went to the pharmacy last night and they said they don't have as it is on short supply at the moment and they don't really keep it in stock. Where in Cape Town can I find this?
