Hi Nelly,

I'm by no means a specialist of any sort, but it sounds to me like you should first be treated for your irregular cycles. I was on Provera for a few months because I tended to skip a cycle here and there, never 2 or 3 at a time though. I used the Provera with Clomid (at different times of my cycle), and maybe that was the magic combination for me. I'm sure this new doctor of yours can prescribe something, I would definitely ask for it.

hi Swartkat

im sure im when you hold your baby you feel that all the trouble was worth it , i was put on clomid 50 g for 3 months but never got pregnant .Your very lucky to have your family and that clomid worked for you

the doctor had prescribed me PostOval, fertipil and clomid but it didnt work , to answer your question i have been using OPKs to keep track of my fertile days but its kind of hard when one day your on your periods and the next 3 or 4 months you don't see AF  ,I have always been afraid of the pill , i have never taken it or the morning after. it just scared me from the beginning , one of my hight school teachers used to recommend it for getting my periods on track but i never really got around to using it.

On the other hand I'm still spotting :( , its frustrating and i cant even BD with DH because things get bloody if you know what i mean ;) , sorry for the TMI . Some times i just feel i'm not normal at all and less of a woman and having facial hair (little hair on my chin and upper lip ) doesn't help things at all.

i am busy ranting and raving but i haven't even asked how any of you are ( how rude of me) ladies i hope your are all fine

Hi,

I also have mild PCOS, and conceived a little girl naturally after 3 months of Clomid. I was first put on Provera, like you, my cycles were irregular and the Provera helped with that. I was on the pill for 10 years prior to us TTC, will never-ever-ever go back on the pill again! Think that messes our bodies up quite a bit.

Apart from PCOS it could also be that you ovulate at times different to what you anticipate, how are you keeping track of your ovulation at the moment?

Cysts are usually "dissolved" with meds, provided it's not too big or considered a serious health risk. Were you given anything for it?

I think your hubby is probably fine, and you guys should conceive naturally as soon as you have a better idea of when you ovulate. Sometimes it just takes a combination of a little medical intervention, good timing, and blessings from the Man above. Hang in here, next Wednesday is not that far away!

i made an appointment with another doctor for the 3rd ( next week wednesday) and i just feel like the hours and days are dragging by slowly, my husband has a son from a previous marriage but i'll be sure to ask the doctor to get us both checked out. Thanks ladies for the replies its the only thing that keeps me going now. My DH can only take some much pregnancy talk

Hi Nellys

I would suggest seeing another gynea while waiting for the one you want to see in October. Have the new Dr do blood tests and scans. If possible see a fertility specialist and have you and you husband checked because 2yrs ttc without success needs further checking and tests done. You will need tests to be done to,find out about your spotting.

i went to another doctor last year and he diagnosed me with PCOS and my left ovary was slightly bigger than the other, he said it seems i have cysts then he prescribed clomid 50g for me , but i since changed doctors because the 1st one just diagnosed me without even running an blood tests, if your wondering the clomid didn't work for me and I'm still trying to conceive . its so frustrating not knowing whats happening in ones body ,
