exclamation-circle bleeding after taking last pill of femara

12 years 1 month ago #251435 by Tinktinkie
Hi Nelly,

I didnt really have any side effects from the Femara, not like what I have heard from the clomid girls... I had 2 beautiful follies each month, except the first one we wanted to do AI.

I really appreciated my gynea's guidance. After she diagnosed me with pcos she did prescribe Femara but also sent my husband for his SA, which did not come back with normal results. He was sent for a varicocele, and my gynae said not to take the femara for 4 months, so my husbands nrs could get a chance for recovery, January he had a better analysis, but it was done through pathcare. I know of so many ladies whose dr's just keeps them on femara/clomid whatever, even though the husband has never been tested, or has had an abnormal count. The meds are soooo bad for our bodies, we have to be patient and get our husbands healthy and ready before we drink the pills. Its not only really bad for us, but really expensive to!

hi Nelly

It's exactly like you say, there are people who really just don't understand. It makes it harder to simply smile and say, 'Our time will come.'

Oh well, our time will come! Hahaha!

To answer your question, doctor says I ovulate naturally, nice big egg which as SwartKat pointed out is a HUGE blessing to have.
I just have to learn to be patient. We have been trying for a few months but it wasn't 'intense TTC' if I can put it that way. DH and I decided to start trying in December last year with the idea of 'If it happens, it happens, if it doesn't, we'll just continue trying.'

Now, I've become adamant. I WANT to get pregnant and it must happen as soon as possible. Ah well, the heart wants what the heart wants.

Hi Morgan

TTC is very hard and frustrating

i saw your post on the other question about femara and pregnacare , have you consulted your doctor and checked if you ovulate on your own ?

i am glad to find people i can relate and talk to as some people dont understand.

All the best

Hi NellyS

You're right about the journey getting harder after every BFN. It's just such a let down.

Good luck with everything.

hi Tinkie

thank you for the reply
I'm taking 2.5mg of femara for 5 - 9 cycle days and i called my doctor today and he said i shouldn't worry about it and he suggested that i take another dose of femara after 5 days because it looks like I'm going on my periods again

I have PCOS and insulin resistance , i was on clomid before then my new doctor diagnosed me with IR so i take metformin , I'm a bit surprised that he suggested another dose of femara even though my DH already mentioned it before i called the doctor

this journey is hard and it gets harder every BFN that comes :(
Have you had any side effects from the femara ?

i hope we get our BFP's soon
Lots of ✨✨Baby Dust ✨✨✨ to u

Hi Nelly,

I took Femara for a few months, but this never happened to me. What cycle days did the dr prescribed it for?

Maybe you should contact your doctor as soon as possible?

Good luck darling, this can be such a frustrating journey.
