Hello Everyone!!
Just reporting in to say that hubby and I went for our (my) first gynae visit on the 30th September.
You guys know the story that I went to my previous GP and he said that I go to the gynae but could only get an appointment for 7 October? Well, I called and the receptionist said that she had no booking for me on that day so no appointment was made for me by previous GP.
I then received a call stating that I have an appointment for the 30th September. Not gonna lie, I was stoked about it! One week earlier!
Anyway, we went, told our story and she suggested that DH go for another sperm analysis and this time, not just the count (as previous GP ordered). She wants the FULL analysis done because (and I quote) 'Dit help veel daar is n goeie telling maar hulle swem nie.'
She also wants me to go see her again so that she can make sure that my tubes are open. Apparently some or other procedure where they inject blue ink stuff in to see where it goes. After that, to make sure that the egg is the right size. She spoke about 1.8cm sized eggs are excellent size.
Also have to go for Insulin, thyroid and three other things that, seriously, I have no idea what they are. On the form they are stated as 'Endokrien - Menopousaal: FSH ; LH and Estradiol(e)'

Whatever they may be. Was also told that, after both hubby's analysis and my tube test and blood tests are done, she wants to see me again to see if I don't maybe just need a little something to stimulate growth of the egg (eg. fertomid)
She said that because of the spherocytosis, I should be drinking iron tablets and asked if I do. I said that at the moment, I'm drinking Pregnacare and that they contain the correct amount of iron and other vitamins etc. She said that that was good.
She did sonars, both regular and internal and measured the womb (looks good), the ovaries (very slight PCOS on the one. 3 little black dots on the sonar revealed but nothing to worry about she said).
So!

Today is the first time in 3 months that I didn't burst out in tears when AF showed up. That's saying something, even if I have to say so myself.
I have to go see her again before day 5 of my cycle but this month, it's impossible due to previous engagements that can't be broken (I already tried) so we're looking at next month.
This is all very good news for us. I really am blessed to be able to say that. I know that there are so many people who can't.
Hoping and praying with all my heart that we will all either be pregnant by December or at least have 2015 babies!
