Hello SwartKat!!
Sorry it's been SO long since I've been on here. With work, studies, parents that are moving etc, my feet have barely touched the ground over the past few weeks.
The medical aid..... such a complicated business, huh? As a friend of mine said, they pay once the baby is there but they don't pay to help get the baby there in the first place. So true and so tragic.
I had an appointment to see gynae on 11/11/2014 to see if my eggs are the right size for conception. She said that anything under 1.8cm is 'useless for conception'. If it was the right size, she was going to inject me to make me ovulate and then give hubby and I a 'timetable...'
As fate would have it, on the day of my appointment, there was no egg to be seen. Luckily, it was because I'd already ovulated and not because I didn't ovulate (hope that makes sense).
Now, I have to go see her again before day 5 of cycle so, I'm going on Friday. Starting hormone treatment (pills) probably just don't know what ones yet and then it's again see her in another 10 days for trigger injection to cause ovulation and of course, receive THE timetable. Hahahahaha
Really hoping and praying that this works this month. She said that other option is to operate so that she can see what's going on. Especially seeing as the one tube is blocked and that the other one (the radiologist said) has a growth. Gynae never said anything about a growth so, honestly, don't know.
Ah well. Only time will tell but, I must confess, I feel very positive that this is going to work for us.
Thanks so much for everything guys.
