question-circle Who is going to get a BFP for Christmas?

Hi

Thank you ladies for the reply. In the back of my head I have this creeping feeling that I am not ovulating as I should and if this month doesn't work I will have it checked out.

I didn't know that a regular gynae can check if you are indeed ovulating and I think I should see him first before I see a FS :)

I think I was a bit naïve when it comes to the ins and outs of ttc as I really thought it would just come so naturally and be so easy. Thank you for the advice and I absolutely love this site as it really makes me feel that I am not alone and I am getting such good info and advice.

:)

Hi Jay-Bee,

Your plan sounds like a great place to start. If you ovulate and your eggs are of good quality, then there's no reason why you can't fall pregnant immediately (like Morgan55 said).

Just bear in mind that it's possible to get a positive OPK but still not ovulate. Your hormone levels can spike (resulting in the positive OPK) but it's not to say that your ovaries actually release eggs. Before seeing a FS, you can see a normal gynae and he/she should be able to tell you if you're ovulating or not. It may take a few courses of medication, but PCOS (polycystic ovary syndrome, where you don't ovulate or ovulate very infrequently) appears to be a common occurrence these days (myself included).

Hey Jay-Bee

Really hoping it works for you guys this month. Hubby and I BD on every second day too. Hasn't worked for us just yet but that's because my eggs were never big enough, thyroid issue etc. If everything is ok with you (ie. nothing that can effect hormones etc) then it should work on those days.

xx

Hi Ladies

We have been ttc since March and have not had a BFP yet. I am hoping that I will have my BFP this cycle and I am on CD5, a positive will be the best Christmas present ever.

I am going to cover all my bases and start using the OPK's from CD8 and BD on CD8, 9, 10, 12, 13, 14, 15, 17, 19, 21. Luckily we will be on holiday as I am sure we will both be so tired :P

I have only BD when I got my positive OPK and then for two days in a row but that hasn't worked for me. Have any of you ladies BD on the above cycle days and if so what was the outcome? I am going to give it my best shot and if it doesn't not work then we will be seeing a FS in the new year.

Hoping to hear your stories on the ups and downs of each cycle, maybe this cycle is going to be the one we have been hoping for :)
