@Chanti - i was actually looking at Spar yesterday for a test, but i could not find one. I have a CB one (not the digital one) at home but thought I would sneak in a cheapy now just to satisfy my want to test, but then the powers that be were against me since i could not find any, probably a sign that I should just wait :)

Hi there Ladies!

Wow so much to catch up in one morning! you sure have been busy

Ladies I don't think we could ever pinpoint ovulation by looking at one sign, I think we need to look at them all as a combination and we will get a fairly good estimate. Try to use OPK's, temping, CM and any ovulation pains all together as the decider of when you ovulate. I think if you use only one form of testing then there could be room for error.

AFM, CD20, 5DPO, Found some R12 tests at spar yesterday, what a bargain!! Can't wait to start POAS next week, I will be testing early  :woohoo: Whats the earliest we can test? 10DPO?

@CarienM - I actually used my opk around 8pm on CD13 and got a positive
I like the flashing light..... would make our lives so much easier and less complicated. No wonder we have mood swings....

@Inca - I also thought that is what it means, so I was working on CD14/15, but now FF saying it was CD16. But anyways doesn't really matter now  I will just wait and see what happens. At least we bd'ed enough (or I hope so)

Carien - I like your way oflooking at thursdays!

Nikita - wow, R10 hpts are awesome!

Inca - shamw I really hope the antibiotics clear the abscess. Weird you have no pain at all.

AFM - CD9 today and I think my body is gearing up to ov already! I wasn't expecting it for another week. Had no cm to speak of yesterday and today there's loads! And seems like the right kind too so eager to get home and bd LoL.

@CarienM: That's when it becomes complicated - the best I think would be to just make sure that you are BD'ing around your fertile days so that you have tried everything possible at the end of the day anyway. I mean those little swimmers are supposed to last up to 5 days in our system. But I agree, a flashing red light would be absolutely brilliant! I think in conjuction with the opk's nwe should also really look at all our other signs, ie. cm, increased sex drive, etc. Those are all signs prepping our bodies for baby making :)

@Inca - agree; also saw that you should take your first positive. But then I have a question, so say you test (like i did) on say a Thursday at 2 and you get a positive, what if your surge started to happen at 2 in the morning already and you only picked it up at 2 because that is when you tested? I mean I know that is probably why they give you a range of when you could be ovulating after you get a positive an not an exact, but what do you ladies think, do you go closer to 24 hours or closer to 48 hours? I have also read it can be as quick as 8 hours after your positive that you can ovulate... I swear, why can we not just get a flashing red light on your forehead that starts blinking "you are ovulating NOW" as soon as you are ovulating? Dont you think that would just make life so much easier?

@Nikita: I read somewhere that you should use your first positive opk as basis to determine when you ovulate. If I'm not mistaken if you got a positive on CD13, that would mean that you would have ovulated 24-36 hours after. So, if that is correct then you most probably ovulated on CD14/CD15. That's how I would have analysed it but then again I"m no expert :side:
