@Cands i'm sorry to hear this hun. Was so hoping for good news for you. But wow that's so amazing that your medical aid will cover most of the IVF, which medical aid are you with? At least you can have some time out now to regroup and relax and get your body ready for IVF next year. We are here for you xxxx ps you are not a failure. God just has different plans for you but you will be a mommy soon xxxx

Wow what a storm in CPT last night!! I am kinda said we werent at home tucked up in bed to just enjoy it, had friends here from London so we were out in town so missed most of it! But we saw the storm roll in as we were driving into Cape town my word the weather changed so quick! nice to have these rainy days!!! we need it so desperately

Feeling really impatient and emotional today - not feeling anything at all, no symptoms whatsoever so I have a feeling i'm out this month if i have another 34 day cycle AF is due on Wed. I just want to know now, this waiting really sucks it feels like flippin forever. Had a few drinks last night, prob shouldn't have but oh well. Too nervous to test!!

The weather in Cptwn is making me so super tired then im experiencing these light cramping,slight pinching kinda pains in my side and lower abdomen it comes and goes.
So i dont want to worry about it but other than that im feeling ok.
Just had a crazy day yday rushing my son to the er after he returned from daycare with some object stuck in his nose thats boys for you,lol

Morning ladies,

So my appointment at Vitalab didn't go as well as I had hoped. The Dr was so great. Very to the point which is what I like. I have normogonadotropic hypogonadism which means that my cycles aren't right and my hormones are out. It makes my ovaries very resistant to stimulation.

He then explained to us that with Ovulation Induction, we will have about a 30% chance of getting pregnant, and with IVF about 70%. We have done quite a few stims cycles and it is so irregular each cycle. SOme cycles the follies will go mad and others, like this past one, do eff all.

So he has put me on the pill for two months - no more trying for baba for the rest of 2017. Then I will phone in 2018, around end January, and start what ever I choose - either carry on with ovulation induction or go to IVF. It is a very hard decision. I didn't want to go to IVF, I thought I would be able to do it on my own. So I am feeling like a bit of a failure in that sense.

I think the positive bit it that I am starting a new job in January and my new medical aid will cover between R55700-R79800 for IVF - one cycle per year. So perhaps this came at a right time... I think that I want to do IVF, not do the ovulation induction again. That is so emotionally tiring and difficult.

I would like to start an IVF group on this site for everyone who has gone on it - I don't know what to expect and I am very scared. As the Dr said it is never 100% certain that it will work and the odds scare me. I am glad that we are having a break, I think for our relationship and my body, it is a good thing. I secretly wished that my body had sorted itself out, but it hadn't. So now I will have these two months to recoup. I am finishing my job end November, so beginning December to January I am on holiday, so I can relax myself before this mammoth task.

@ Ayesha, strangely I also normally have AF for 5 days and last month and this it was 7 days of very light. It is upsetting! Yes it was thunder and lightening last night but very humid.

AFM, I am 1DPO today and very nervous. My sister ovulated a few days earlier than me and both in the tww together. We are extremely close but oh I hope that we are not pregnant at the same time but I think that it is going to be like that

@cands how was the vitalab visit? What did the doctor have to say? Fx for you

My period is weird this cycle from a 5 day period I'm going on day 8 still light flow. It's so upsetting when our bodies react so surprisingly

How is this weather in CT tonight. I just told DH it's like CT is showing us what's awaiting us in jozi. Thunder and lightning.

My FS has put me on CoQ10 and 25mg DHEA to improve my egg quality........6 weeks treatment then onto IVF if the quality improves

Anyone else went on these meds? Any positive improvements noted?....Reading up on DHEA not vey comfortable with the precautions:-(

@Cands...good luck for today hun. I hope they have a good plan for you And happy monthaversary!! Its my hubby and I 2yr wedding anniversary on the 21st Nov! Since moving back to SA from London 2yrs ago one thing we've really missed is watching loads of live music, so for this year's anni present we've bought tickets to a whole bunch of concerts, all SA artists! Johnny Clegg, Matthew Mole, Majozi, The Sweet Resistance so far! Hubby just got offered a free ticket to go see LIVE next week hmphhhh!! jealous!

CD28 / 12DPO today. Have had cramps the last few days..really low and tugging. Felt like AF was gonna come but nothing yet. Not really feeling anything if i'm honest, just really emotional but i'm usually like that anyway haha!!
