ICSI #3 is it worth trying

(I know...it is hard....but try to persevere).

What about saving a little more money and opt for some genetic testing of your fertilized embies before ET (i.e. after fertilization). In that way you can make sure that only the chromosomal normal embies are transferred and you will increase your chances of conceiving. There is probably nothing going wrong with the ICSI procedure itself - it might just be that the embies are genetically compromised.

Dont give up We went for 6 IUI's without any luck, my partner went for 5 and I went for one each ended up with a BFN, which was very discouraging.

I even contacted the sperm bank to find out if the donors we selected had successful pregnancies before, and they did so it was very discouraging.

We have now deceived to go the IVF route with the ICSI option as it is not guaranteed for pregnancy but the chances are rather higher for fertilization.

Both of you ladies are more than welcome to come and join us in the TTC a 2018 baby and join in

Hi Hailey. Dont lose hope. We fell pregnant on our 5th cycle of Icsi at Tygerberg. ( There was another successful cycle, which sadly ended in a MC).

After our third cycle we felt the same way you are now. We didnt give up because our hearts longed to become parents. All our prayers were answered on our final cycle .

Hi everyone. My DH and I have been ttc #1 since 2011. Have been for 2 X ICSI at Tygerberg and have not been successful. Do you have any advice on the way forward. I feel as if I am the only person who hasn't conceived after 2 cycles. Previously we thought it was only DH who had low egg penetration but seeing as we have failed twice I am wondering what could be wrong with me... Both ICSI cycles we get all the way to ET and this last time was 3 day 5 almost blastos yet it did not work. I am not sure where to go from here because I have been for all the tests under the sun and told I am normal but that cannot be if this keeps failing. Any help would be appreciated....
