Thanks Julz. i get so excited when my period is late. with the hope that i might be pregnant. been trying for six months but feels like years. Seems like everyone around me is getting pregnant!!!
Def not easy to 'just relax' like everyone is telling me.

Hi there

Sometimes the follicle (cyst) that contains the egg doesn't release so you don't ovulate and the cyst gets a little bigger and then vanishes. We call them functional cysts and are normal, but they can delay your period and give pregnancy symptoms. Stressing about missing your period may then delay it even further.

If you still don't have a period after a month then maybe you should chat to your gynae. They can give meds to sort the cyst out if it is a cyst. If you continue to have longer cycles which are not the norm for you then you may want to have a check up too.

If you are ttc the sheer stress of it and doing tests etc can disrupt your cycle.

Good luck.

Please help. i've got a regular period of 28/29 days. last month it was around 32 days but not pregnant. i should've started menstruating around the 21st (saturday). i still haven't started. took a test yesterday with a BFN. i SO want to be pregnant. i've had a stuffy nose for a few days now and headaches. is it possible that i am pregnant but the test doesn't pick it up?
