Gr 11/12 Maths tutor - rates?

My daughter is in 3rd year business science finance at uct-she tutors maths to gr11 and 12 school children-shes familiar with new curriculum , she charges R150 an hour( R120 each for an hour if its 2 children in the group)- she her weekends are full , so there's obviously a demand, the children come to our house as well. I know her friends charge slightly more as they travel to the suitable location to the children that they tutor

1st timer, it really depends on how much experience you have and what the demand for your classes are.

I charge R200 per person per hour for one or two kids at a time. They come to my house, at times that suits me. But my lessons are in big demand and I don't take a lot of students so spaces are limited.

There are some students in my area charging between R100 and R150 per hour.

Why dont you phone one of the big franchises like Kip McGrath and enquire as to their rates?
There is such a demand for maths teachers you could get a good little business going:)

I've been asked by a friend of mine to tutor her Gr 11 son in maths buta. Unsure of how much I should charge. Can anyone tell me what the going rate is?
