which school?

I sit with the same question. I was a Panorama pupil so it is very dear to my heart. It is an excellent school with amazing facilities, but larger classes. They do have assistant apparently.

Monte Vista has always had a good name. My friend recently took her kids out of Curro and placed them in Monte Vista and she has been astounded by how well her kids have done since the move. It may just be a good teacher/child relationship which you may get at any school.

I can't comment on Edgemead.

I will probably apply at both of them and then decide which to choose. I will also make an appointment early next year to visit each school.

Might want to go along and ask for an application form and how their enrollment works, and also when they open "applications" - if you are not in their catchment area then you want to also understand how to get on the waiting list.

Never too early to start thinking about the right school for kids .....beats the stress of trying to do it in the rush.

I'm really jumping the gun here - my lg is still little. But I overheard some mothers talking about these three schools, and I was interested to hear other opinions. Thanks for the advice so far.

I went to Edgemead primary, and it was very good (admittedly was about 15 years ago) But a friend of mine just did her teachers prac there and says its still run very well.

Monte Vista is also good and several of my friends went there.

So as RM says, go to each, check sizes etc and see what works for you.

Nicolette, I have heard good things about all three schools.

I was looking at them when my son was going to grade 1 (I am in the same area).

All three schools have great reputations and are rated highly.

It might be a case of looking at class size, asking to meet the teachers and just getting a sense of the school and the "culture" as to what works for you.

Look at extra murals, after care facilities, what they offer in terms of academic or sports (depending on what is important to you) and so on.

It is a very difficult choice as all three schools are quite similiar.
