question-circle School Acceptance for Gr1 2012 - hows that going?

2012 you mean.

It is very stressful. I am already stressing and Megan is only turning 4 BUT on 31 December. It's a huge decision for me as to when, where and what.

Glad all is sorted on your side (until it's time for Isa to go!)

I enrolled my daughter into the same school my son presently attends. (my son is in Grade 3)

She is in the feeder school, so all things being equal there should be no problem with her acceptance.

But .... we live OUTSIDE the catchment area, so the school is under no obligation to accept her - so I stress. (I have no plan B, none!)

This morning I saw a letter on our kitchen counter, I thought it was a birthday card for her, and when I ripped it open I found it was her acceptance letter to the school for Grade 1 2011.

I nearly platzed in relief!!

I was wondering how other moms with kids going to Grade 1 in 2011 are doing with choosing schools and waiting on acceptance, and how their stress levels are doing.

I find the entire process very stressful.

Struggling to juggle life, kids, work, my bottle of wine, without having a total humour failure.

I have a letter from my pdoc to say I am insane, so tread lightly with me, some days I can be a total bitch. I'm lying. Most days I am a total bitch.

I abhor smiley face icons. Just saying.
