So glad ur not wasting ur money on bloods, and sounds like going to your GP was definitely a better option for you!
The sistolic is on the high side yes. Mine often got up to around 145 or 150.
It could be because you were anxious while he was taking it. Unfortunately that will increase your BP. Only regular testing of that could show the true result.
You can go to your local clinic (clicks /dischem too) to take your bp in a more relaxed environment and do your very best to relax!

You will be in good hands with ur GP and if necessary he can help with beta blockers or something else.

I'm alos not wasting money on blood tests this time round seeing that Medical Aid doesn't cover it. So i went to my local GP on Saturday morning who confirmed the postive with his own urine test. According to my last period i should be about 6 weeks now. He took my BP which came up as 150/80... If any of you know about BP you'll know this is high so he's referred me to a gynae asap instead of waiting till i'm further along.

My LG (firstborn) was 5 weeks prem due to pre-eclampsia, so i'm trying not to be worried. I was induced as my BP was 161/114 so already i'm not far off and i'm only about 6 weeks. Hoping all goes well at the scan!

YAY congratulations Cherikey!!! I bet the test was quite dark already
I didnt go for bloods this time around. Instead spent about the same amount of money on home tests cos I tested the day before AF was due, and continued to test every other day for a week!
Now you can start the January 2013 mommies club wow!!!
