Cool tess. We have been to the emergency room once for a really bad double bump. The doc said don't worry they bounce.

My LB started walking a bit late 14 months, but boy when he did  we always let him be a bit rough and tumble, though my heart has had some good workouts when he jumps from sofa to sofa. Even if he falls, comes home with bumps and bruises from school, you gotta just let it go. We were 2 girls and what "good little girls" we always were - to this day I have never had a broken bone, and do feel that my "wild" tendencies were tamed by my mother. I vowed not to do that with my son!

just don't forget the helmet.

I actually said to n the other night that Dylan needs a constant crash helmet. Then we would worry less and he would have fewer bruises.

I say what doesnt kill them just makes them stronger.
CIP, go get your girl a bike and teach her to ride the bike just to prove to daddy she isnt going to die or break bones

Since starting school she has just blossomed into her own person, she is not so fearful anymore and her confidence is growing, she now swims and does not care that she will die, in fact she wants to prove you wrong that she won't die, so I guess she has learned to take everything we say with a pinch of salt.

My daughter does not own a bike because her father told her she will fall and break her neck and legs, its not funny because he is messing with her brain.

married for 3 years with 7 yr old daughter and 2yr old son.

We should leave boys to play outside and get dirty and cause a little bit of trouble. They need bruises and scratches or they are not little boys.
CIP, I know its not funny but was laughing when reading about your daughter. That was cruel of your husband. Has she gotten over that fear yet?
