Congestion

Thanx Girly. It is helpful to know that it is very common at this age and will clear up. I did also start using some Iliadin paediatric so will use that for a few days, but otherwise probably wait it out then (and pray!). How r u doing otherwise? I read your updates on some of the other threads and it sounds like you are doing a great job!

I find that using an aspirator works more effectively than saline solution or you can use both together.
She's still young so try not switch over to other things just yet.
Remember that newborns typically have stuffy noses, I found it cleared up around 6 or 7 weeks but we went through a stage where every night we had to use drops and aspirate with night time feeds.

Hi, not sure. Most say use as needed. The paed told us that with Flow baby you can use it as many times and as often as you want.

Hi Mags, my daughter also struggled with blocked nose when she was younger (hers was more due to the reflux), but what helped her a lot was Flow Baby. It is a bit more expensive than the saline drops, but you can use it as often as you want. It really worked for us. You could also try Sterimar, but I found that the "pressure" of the spray was a bit hard on her nose and she didn't like it very much.

Hi all. I was wondering what anyone uses that is effective for congestion? Gabriella is nearly 5 weeks and has been struggling for a few weeks with a really blocked up nose. It is affecting her sleep too, which is obviously not what we are looking for! We are using saline drops, but they dont seem to be making a difference. Thanx so much.
