My understanding - and I may be way off on this - is that there are very good doctor's in government hospitals.

The problem is that the resources are over-stretched. There are not sufficient nurses to care for you, and not enough resources i.e. blankets, medicine, running water for you to get the level of care you need, to be able to rest and recover.

My understanding is if you arrive with say a gunshot wound, you are attending by remarkable doctors and nurses who are very experienced and so on - but once they have got you stabilised, you then are put into the hands of the general staff who are often poorly paid, over worked, under resourced and well that is what kills you.

ladies,

i just got a call while i was @ work. my nanny's 1 week old newphew just passed away.

as sad as i am, im just so angry with the goverment hospitals!!!

her sister was meant to be due last month. she then went to hospital last week [she was now abt 3 weeks overdue and this was her 2nd baby]

she arirved @ the hospital on Wednesdy morning. she only got a bed on Thurday after noon [all this time no1 is attending to her]...
she was eventually induced Thursday evening. apperently she says they were giving her pills to orally take for the induction. she eventually gave birth on Friday.

i feel like the service she got was APPAULING!!!!
how cud it take the nurses and Dr's 3 days to assist her witht he birth? she was already overdue

by the time the baby was born, he wasnt breatihng properly and didnt cry. he was put in and incubator from last week. he seemed to be getting better but clearly something then went wrong.

my heart realy breaks for her.

i think sometimes in life we take life and bringing new life into this world, so for granted.
i know that i have. i mean i have a 6 month old hu hasnt so much as had the flu or a blocked nose..

:(
