Hey moms thanx for the advise,

My mom has offered to look after her, she is so clingy that even if anyone tries and takes her she starts screaming immediately, and it's tantrums, pulls herself stiff and it seems like she cant breathe at times. and when i take her shes calms down in a bit.

Its hard cos i have no choice but too go back to work, and the 6th is around the corner, i wish my mom had more patience though.

what to do, what to do

shame man ,my aunt is looking after my son so a month before the due date (back to work started) i use to visit her 3 times a week for 2-3 hrs.

i just wanted to see that they will cope and the baby will settle.
the first few days it was tuff ,mostly crying and i had my doubts but the more they played at entertained him while i was in the room he got use to the idea of the new changed.
the first back to work week he refused the bottle and there was no routine but in time they got use to eachother.

now if he see her at church or a function he will rather sit on her lap than mine and the tears in now for her and not the mom anymore.

good luck

Shame man :(

I know how hard it is and that it's worse for you because Scarlett has been clingy for the last few weeks :(

I suggest you spend ALOT of time with your mom over the next few days and let your mom feed her, bath her etc while you are in the same house, just maybe not in the same room and then gradually leave her alone with your mom for a while each day, so that it's not that big of a shock when suddenly you leave her for the entire day.

If she still cries so badly, it will probably only be for the first few days and then she will be fine. It's going to be hard knowing that she is crying, I KNOW!!!, but if we need to go back to work, then unfortunately, we don't have much choice. At least you know that she is safe with your mom and that your mom will be doing eveything to make sure she is happy.

Good luck, hope all goes well. Strongs.

Shame man. I think this is every moms worst feeling ever is having to leave baby and how will they cope.

The truth is that they do. They may act up for a couple days but usually babies at 4 months cope very very well.

I am not sure if your mom is going to look after lo or a daycare will but what I did was take Dylan to the daymom for a couple hours each day for a week prior to leaving him full day and he settled in nicely.

As hard as it is for you , I know that your lo will be fine. xx
