Trisomy babies

Hi Ladies

Sorry been quite, havent really had access to the internet. Lior is still in hospital. Unfortunately last Wednesday evening he stopped breathing and I had to rescusitate him we rushed him to the hospital and he was put on oxygen straight away and and given meds to stimulate his breathing and his heart. He picked up a virus - common cold and that caused the apnea. Yesterday he had grommets put in which stressed me even more cause he had to go under anaesthetic again, but they took precaution and had three of their top anaethetists in theater with him. Had a hard time with him last night, but he has settled and still sleeping. He has also not been on any feeds for the last two days, his stomach has bloated terribly. Been on a drip and on cerelite. Doc is happy with the progress and wants to try a new formula today and if all goes well, he should come home tomorrow.

otherwise all good. Just went home to check up and he was having a nap already...
im quite disappointed that i didn't get to see him now! but also, atleast she can see when he is tired and that she can put him down and he will fall asleep like normal. One big plus!

Great to hear that your lo is well! I think he feels better sleeping in your bed because he feels safe. Its ok to worry but don't beat yourself up. You have pulled this far thus you can take another step ahead.
