Thanx Julz, good to know

Made a huge mistake yest. For the 1st time ever, he woke up for a feed @ midnight then decided he wanted to play. His cot is nxt to our bed so I took him to the sitting room coz I wanted DH to get some sleep (He's a light sleeper)
So I put him in the baby swing, he coos & plays & talks while I was busy catching up on emails. After a while I took him from the swing coz he got restless then I plzyed with him.
Nxt thing I know he's crying. He sounded tired so I tried comforting him & shushing him coz it normally works, nxt thing I know He's screaming!!!! This went on for 20 min. Poor thing was soo tired I think I overstimulated him!!!
Took him 30 min to settle down, that woke DH anyway. He finally slept shame, but never again. We'll just chill in darkness in future & I wont play with him......

The vomiting is normal reflux that many babies have. It usually settles by 6 months so again no worries.

Thats fine. I think mommies stress too much about the whole burping issue. Baby will get rid of the gass and your lo seems really content.

Thank heavens!!!! I feel crappy having to keep him awake when he clearly wants to sleep.
As long as I can adjust time then its cool
He really is sleeping much better since I started it, after a feed he goes right back to sleep.
Sometimes he dsnt burp coz he sleeps after the feed, I just let him sleep. Is this ok?
I ask this coz he vomits sometimes if he hasnt burped, not all the time.....

Zodwa, we also started with a nice routine early but we fitted it inbetween 'naps' so it was never at the same time every evening. Then we started doing the routine at 8 and has a terrible time with her from 6 - 8pm, so we just made it earlier. Just adjust as you see fit, don't force them to stay awake if they are clearly ready for bed earlier

He is really young still so what you have is a routine basically and babies don't really understand time but they do have cycles of time so follow that at this age.

Sleep training is done when they are older (after 6 months) to get them to sleep right through the night, but at 10 weeks your son may still wake for night feeds and at this age it is fine.

Whats the diff btwn sleep training & a bed time toutine?
My son used to go to bed btwn 10 & 11 @ night, then I started a bedtime routine for him which is feed, bath, massage, sing & play 4 2 min then I put him down &pat his back till he sleeps. I start this @ 8 in the evening. I start at this time coz he used to sleep so late by himself now he's sleeping by 8:30. Iv been doing this for 4 days now & it seems to b going beautifully

Thing is, since I started, now he's drowsy by 7pm!! Is it ok to start the routine earlier? I read that I mustnt change anything bout the routine, does this include time?
Also since I started the routine, he now wakes up every hour for a feed. He used to wake up every 3 hours.
Could it b a growth spurt he's going thru? (he's 10 weeks)
