file P&P NAPPY VS OTHERS

Justine on the PnP website it shows both types. They have the see through packet with blue writing which is the no name brand one, and then the mustardy colour bag which are the new ones. Both packaged for PnP. The see through bag is much cheaper than the mustardy bag.

Even without the Discovery discount the HG work out cheaper if you buy the jumbo bags.

Glad I'm not losing my mind Yaz ;-) I've seen a thread like this before and seriously thought how could I possibly be making a living in bookkeeping when my sums seemed so out of whack ;-) Glad I understand how it works now.

Kristin, I just wanted to post the exact same thing: I also found the P&P ones more expensive than my usual pack of Pampers. Ok, I also buy at Toys R Us with Discovery Vouchers or when the Dischem specials are on, but even when they are priced normally they work out cheaper - the economy packs that is (e.g. normal Dischem price for 82 Pampers 3: R 159.90, P&P size 3 R 119.90 for 52).

Kristin, yes its the no name brand PnP nappies, but the new. The old one was in a clear bag with blue writing on and the new one is in a yellowish bag and there are babies on the pack.

I think because you get a discount from Discovery, Huggies work out cheaper.
The amount of nappies in the PnP bags and in the normal size Huggies Gold is the same, not one more and not one less so without the discount from Discovery you are getting, PnP works out cheaper.

I'm very confused here. I did my sums and I think they're more expensive than Huggies Gold. They are very nice, but I find them pricey. I went back to Huggies Gold because I felt they weren't as good - although they are better than Pampers - but that the HG were cheaper.

Maybe I get my HG for a really good price? I pay R155 - 10% discovery card discount = R139.50 for a pack of 70 size 4's. So that is R1.99 per nappy. I'm sure the PnP nappies worked out more per nappy.

I checked the PnP website and they are R119.99 for 50 so R2.40 each.

Or are you guys talking about the no name brand ones at PnP?

Okay!
I'm loving the pnp nappies! Thanks so much for the recommendation guys! (you guys rock)
Also will be checking out the earthbabies nappy sale, because all though I would LOVE to use cloth, I have never had R1000 to put toward starting up a stash and that's if you choose the right one from the start.

Memo, go have a look at my store www.doodlebums.co.za you will be able to find some amazingly priced nappies there and you can also buy gift vouchers as a way of putting money aside each month for it to get your stash. I also have some reduced stock from the stegi brand that Earthbabies have as this is because Stegi are busy closing down and wanting to sell off stock. We can look at discounting up to 50%. I have taken most of the stegi stock off the site but if there is something specific you wanted I can still get it as well.

Agree with Gloei here. A couple weeks back K had a fresh nappy on. was sitting on grandpa's lap and weed and it all came out! So it was just about how she was sitting that it escaped.

But I am a pampers user, and K wees a lot. And in the mornings her nappies are full full but never leak. I'm amazed.
The only time we have accidents is when the nappy she is using is getting too small for her.

I have bought almost every type of nappy on the market, and have found that the sooner I accept that ALL nappies will leak from time to time, I will be much more happy! :)

I think what happens is, is that the elastic on the edges doesn't have a tight fit when the baby moves a certain way creating an opening where the wee leaks out.

Just my theory.
