Stefan poo-ed in the potty this morning!!!!!

Excititng stuff. I also had one or two successes with my LB who is 23 months now when he was about 21 months and never again. Infact he seemed to regress a bit when we made a big deal of it and even pulled out the undies. So we are straight back into nappies. Anina I do think Cloth bottoms probably do show signs for trainging earlier because they are very aware of when they wee or poo but mentally and emotionally I just don't really think they are ready yet as they cannot process the idea of a foreign body coming out of them and going into any other place then the nappy. You are definately wise to wait.

We tried the potty again a few times over the weekend, but I do think he is still to young for real potty training. He is not doing anything in it at the moment. On Saturday he said he wants to pee, then we took off his pants and nappy, put him on the potty, he got up and peed on the floor, when I started mopping up, he ran 3 steps and carried on peeing, i got closer, he ran and finished his pee against my closet...

So for now, we are not taking potty training seriously, just giving him the oppertunity to use it and get used to it. But we don't make a fuss about it if he doesn't do it in the potty. Afterall he is only 20 months, and its winter soon. So we'll get more serious after the winter. I don't feel like layers of clothing getting wet everytime he has a little accident...

Stefan likes to stand against the bath and pee, but if you put the potty in front of him, he gets stage fright... But maybe now after the poo he'll get the idea.
