How much do your 2 year old weigh?

My daughter is 21 months, and I am taking some clothes off her sister (who turns 6 in June) and I am putting them straight on to her.

<she has been wearing 2 - 3 year clothing for more than 6 months, I haven't shopped in the baby section in ages>

My girl is a solid girl, I need to weigh her, as I am not convinced we are too far off from the 42kg mark in my neck of the woods.

I win, I win ! My son of almost 26 months weighs 14.2kg, but he was big from the start. He is a good eater as well. I never worried about his weight as he doesn't look much different from his class mates.

Siwe Toddlers generally don't have time to eat! It is fine, they wont starve themselves and the last thing you want to do is make a fuss about eating as they will use it to get their way.

If you offer food and lo refuses it, take it away. lo will soon realise that he must eat when it is dinner time.

Just make sure that every mouthful of food lo gets is packed with goodness.

If he is at school then even less reason to worry as they tend to eat well when other kids eat.

Lastly the your child should stay on his own curve. 50 doesn't mean he must be average, it just means that 50 percent of kids weigh that weight. Ideally he should be on the curve he was born on so say he was born on the 10th centile, then he should remian there. It just means that he was a petite baby. Having said that Dylan was born on the 50th and dropped to the 10th and has stayed there, but Neil and I both are short and have small bone structures so it makes sense.

My son is 21 months and weighs 12 kg.

My son is 2 years and 4 months and he weighs 13.4kg.

I wouldnt stress though, they grow through these phases.
