One-year old -No teeth yet, is this ok?

Kids that get teeth so late are really lucky as their teeth are exposed to milk and bottles for a shorter time which is great!!!

Also just wanted to say that my lb only got his first tooth at 13 months, then a month later the other (the two front bottoms) - and now only has 6 teeth so far, two bottom and 4 top.. and no sign of more any time soon. I was also constantly worried, but they came and he was a very prem baby too. So, they all have their own time.. so facinating actually, shows how unique each child is, never the same thing as the other ..

P.S - I also have a q lol.. my lb is now a week shy of 17months and says all but two words so far... dadda and tietie..(sad yes, no "mamma" in the vocab, cry... cry... is this okay ? I hear the other kids younger than him babbling away and he just baby talks?

I don't think there is a specific order the teeth appear. As they say all kids are different.

is it normal for them to cut their top teeth first? Coz I know its usually the bottom 2 that pop out first but for some or other reason it's his top gum that's really swollen? I suspect he might get a tooth their first (but I might just be wrong...)!

My LG turned 1 year this past Saturday and has only the 2 bottom teeth. Waiting patiently...

My LB also only got his first tooth at 11 months, 2nd at about 13 months. He is now 23 months and has been popping teeth like crazy. He did not follow the normal order of teething, he had 4 front teeth, then suddenly cut 1 top insisor, while I was waiting for the one on the other side to come out, all 4 molars popped out in 2 weeks!!!

He now has 4 top insisors, 3 bottom insisors, 2 top canines, 4 molars. And I suspect the 4th bottom insisor is on its way. His little mouth looks very funny...

Thanx for the feedback ladies - it's reassuring to know that your baba's also got teeth late...his gums are really swollen at the moment so I think his teeth mightmake their appearance soon...!

And my mom said the same thing - once they come, they probably all gonna pop out at the same time!
